With the GEL-NYC 2.0 GTX, Asics continues the Y2K runner story that began in 2023 with the first GEL-NYC. The silhouette is inspired by the early 2000s archive, and the 2.0 version is based on the GEL-1050 from 2000, translating heritage running DNA into a stacked, layered look with a voluminous sole. New is the Gore-Tex version: for the first time, the 2.0 offers waterproof, breathable protection for the cold months. The colorway Graphite Grey / Black remains deliberately muted. Mesh construction, textile layers, and suede logos create a look with depth, while the dark palette emphasizes the technical character. A subtle tone that lets the constructed material layering speak. A runner for gray days and wet streets, bringing the brand's archive aesthetic into the winter season while remaining understated.
