The Vans Authentic has been a cornerstone of the brand since 1966 – the first model made by the Van Doren brothers in their California workshop, originally simply called #44. The Vans Authentic 44 LX *Stars* is the premium interpretation of this original silhouette: vulcanized construction, clean low-cut, matured into a skate and streetwear classic. The LX designation stands for the upscale version with refined details. This version comes in the Racing Red / Marshmallow colorway. The cream canvas upper is fully covered with a red star print, giving it a distinctly West Coast, retro vibe. It features a gum sole and a slightly elevated, shiny sidewall that emphasizes the vintage character of the vulcanized construction.
