Vans Authentic 44 LX

With the Authentic 44 LX, Vans introduces its first silhouette into the premium league. The 44 model is the original number of the Vans Authentic, which was created in 1966 in Anaheim, California, and became a staple of the early skate scene in the 70s. The LX version, once part of the Vault universe, draws on these roots and enhances them with higher quality materials and a raised, glossy foxing tape. The highlight of this version lies in the upper material: pony hair leather gives the clean low-top a tactile depth that classic canvas never achieves. The Black / Sand White colorway balances a dark base with warm off-white, beneath the vulcanized gum sole with the legendary waffle profile. A classic that never denies its Californian DNA, retold here in a tactile, slowed-down summer version.
