Salomon X-Alp Expedition

Salomon from the French Alps brings its mountain sports DNA back to the asphalt with the X-Alp Expedition. The brand launched the X-Alp over a decade ago as one of the most technically ambitious alpine hikers, built with the proprietary Edging Chassis that prevents lateral flex while allowing for a natural walking motion. After years in lifestyle mode, the Expedition version pulls the silhouette back to its alpine roots. This version draws from climbing gear of the 80s and 90s: the upper combines textile with brushed, slightly vintage-inspired suede overlays, flanked by black accents on the mudguard, collar, and outsole. Classic cord laces and a mauve tone that peeks out at the lower eyestay add subtle character. A Gorpcore look back to the golden era of mountaineering, condensed into a silhouette that works just as well in the urban landscape as it does on the rock.
