Asics GEL-Kayano 14

The Asics GEL-Kayano 14 hails from Japan and is named after Toshikazu Kayano, the mind behind the series launched in 1993. The 14 is the first edition designed by someone else – Hidenori Yamashita takes over the design. Originally built in 2008 as a technical stability runner, the silhouette finds its second spring in the Y2K revival, moving from the marathon track to the asphalt. In 'Lime Zest / Pure Silver', the classic gets a fresh touch. The airy mesh upper meets the metallic overlays for which the 14 is known – the silvery shimmer brings exactly the Y2K attitude that defines the shoe. The bright lime adds vibrant accents to the layered, tech-heavy construction. Underfoot, the visible GEL cushioning has made the 14 a cult classic over the years.
